World Rogaining Championships

The World Rogaining Championships (WRC) are the sport’s premier event. The Championships are held every one to two years in some of the best rogaining terrain a country can offer and have the highest technical standards. The location rotates around the world providing everyone with an opportunity to rogaine in Europe, Australasia, and North America. The World Rogaining Championships are for everyone in the sport: for elite to recreational competitors wanting a quality event.

The International Rogaining Federation is the world governing body for the sport. The Federation comprises 10 member countries and a number of observer countries. The International Rogaining Federation strives to provide the opportunity for rogaining in as many parts of the world as practicable. This is done by:

  • Supporting rogaining where it already happens
  • Expand rogaining to new regions and countries
  • Supporting increased participation at both elite and recreational levels
  • Raising the event and organisational quality of all rogaines
  • Developing and growing sustainable national rogaining peak bodies
  • Ensuring regular high-quality, well organised and technically challenging World Rogaining Championships

The most important achievement of the IRF has been the worldwide acceptance of a common ethos and uniform standards for the sport. The IRF also maintains communication between rogaining groups, coordinates the holding of regular World Rogaining Championships

World Rogaining Championships

The World Rogaining Championships (WRC) are the championships of the International Rogaining Federation. As the sport's premier event, the World Rogaining Championships are for the benefit of everyone in the sport: for elite competitors, for organizers, for administrators, and as a meeting focus for rogaining enthusiasts.

Technical

The International Rogaining Federation provides the forum to agree on technical facets of rogaining. We maintain a code and rules of Rogaining that govern the World Rogaining Championships and provide the basis for member country rules.

Member Resources

The International Rogaining Federation provides support for member countries organizing events and other developing countries establishing new rogaining associations.
